A clafoutis is, I found out today, something like an eggy vanilla french bread pudding only without the bread. This one has lovely ripe plums fried in cinnamon and butter in it, as well as blackberries. Can you say 'ooh la la'?

I had a few plums left, and they've been ignored, to the point where they're pretty ripe. Problem: my fiance likes golden plums, not black ones; mom doesn't like the texture of plums; I like firmer plums. I didn't want to throw them away, solution?: Baking them into a nice simple desert.

I had big plans this weekend that did NOT include a pie, but there were last minute changes! So, allow me to introduce Peach Crisp Pie. I love gooey oaty fruit crisps, and I love pies, so this came together perfectly. Peaches, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon in a flaky crust topped with a dollop of homemade whipped cream.
